Booking & Deposits

Please book all services in advance so we can reserve time for your pets.

Overnight & Pet Sitting: A 50% deposit is due when you book. The rest is due on the first day of service.

Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made outside the time frame outlined in our Cancellation Policy.

Please book early, especially around holidays. Spots disappear faster than a treat dropped on the floor.

Bookings are confirmed once we receive your deposit.
Payment & Late Fees

Dog walking payments are due on the 1st and 15th of every month.

Pet sitting and overnight balances are due on the first day of service.

If payment isn’t received within 3 days of the due date, a $15 late fee will be added.

Continued late payments may pause services until the account is current.

We accept Cash, Checks, PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, Debit/Credit card and good vibes (Just kidding, we don’t take vibes. We take money.)
Cancellation & Refunds
(Life Happens, But So Do Policies)
Dog Walking:

24+ hours’ notice: No charge

Less than 24 hours: Full charge
Overnight, Holiday & Pet Sitting:

7+ days’ notice: Full refund of your deposit.

Less than 7 days: Sorry, deposit is non-refundable (we blocked off time just for you).

Same-day cancellations: Full charge applies. We were ready for belly rubs and everything.
Rebooking
(Changing Plans? No Problem)
Need to adjust your visit dates or add/remove a booking? We can do that! A $20 rebooking fee helps us reshuffle the schedule and hold your new spot.
Last-Minute Bookings
(We’ll Try to Squeeze You In!)
Overnight & Pet Sitting Only:

Bookings made within 24 hours are based on availability. we'll do our best to squeeze you in!

A $20 convenience fee will be added for last-minute bookings.
Leash & Collar Policy
-
Please provide a secure collar/ harness and sturdy, non retractable leash for each walk. If you provide a spaghetti-string leash from 2004, we will judge you.

We recommend using a Gentle Leader for dogs who pull.
-
If client-provided gear breaks, Moonwalks is not responsible for escapes, injuries, or damages that may result.

Dogs remain on leash at all times. We don’t do off leash parks, areas or lawsuits.
Weather & Safety Policy
(Because We Can’t Control Houston Weather. Trust Us, We’ve Tried)

Your pet’s safety is our top priority. If the weather is extreme (too hot, stormy, flooding or just plain dangerous) and you’re home, we’ll cancel the visit at no charge. Safety first, always.

If you’re not home, we’ll wait until conditions are safe and complete the visit as soon as we can.

Walks may be shortened during high heat or storms, with the rest of the visit spent indoors giving your pet some love and attention.

We don’t issue refunds for shortened walks due to weather, but you won’t be charged for any canceled visits we call off for safety reasons.
Holiday & Weekend Policy
(It’s a Busy Time for Everyone, Including Us)

Holiday visits include a $20 flat surcharge.

Weekend dog walks include a $10 flat surcharge per day (whether it’s one walk or five).

Holiday and weekend slots fill fast. Please book early so we can save your spot!
Emergency Vet Care
(Just in Case)

If something comes up, we’ll call you right away.

If we can’t reach you, we’ll head to your preferred vet or the nearest emergency clinic.

All vet costs are the responsibility of the pet parent. We’ll just be the chauffeur and emotional support crew.
Home Care
(While You’re Away)

Happy to bring in mail, water plants, take trash bins to the curb, mess with lights and keep your home looking cared for during visits.

Any extra home services must be discussed before booking.
Keys & Entry
(Let Us In, Please)

Please provide two working keys or a lockbox code before services start.

Keys are stored securely with no identifying information.

Lost keys or lockouts due to client error may include a service fee.
Pet Behavior
(We love All Pets, But Safety First)

We love all kinds of pets, but safety always comes first.
-
If a pet shows dangerous behavior (biting, aggression, etc.), services will stop immediately. No refunds.

Please share any behavior concerns in advance. We’ve seen it all and just want to be prepared.
Liability
(Stuff Happens)

We’re not responsible for any escapes, injuries or damage caused by faulty gear or unpredictable pet behavior.

We are insured for anything caused by our own oops moments.
Communication & Updates
(Yes, We’ll Send Pics!)

You’ll receive an email and photo update after each visit. Because let’s be honest, you’re going to miss them.

In emergencies, we’ll call first, then text if needed.

Please keep your contact info current, so we’re not sending updates to your old college roommate.
